As the Director of Research and Development at a 155 acre farm, garden, and museum complex, I engage in a broad spectrum of activities including program and event evaluation; exhibit development, design, and evaluation; forecasting; market research; etc. In a past life, I chaired a university graduate program and engaged in applied research in the area of sustainable parks, recreation, and tourism (PRT) management.
I believe intentional and innovative informal learning experiences can foster curiosity, confidence and compassion in kids, transforming their trajectories.
I approach teaching through a transformative and critical pedagogical lens, with a focus on empowering students to become industry-ready, independent learners through the development of creative and critical thinking skills both at home and abroad.
